Carlotta Hutch's Obituary
Carlotta Hutch, 84, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2024, after a short illness. She was born on July 31, 1939, to Charles and Evelyn (Nielsen) Schecter and lived her whole life in the White Lake and North Muskegon area.
She married Joseph V. (Buddy) Sika on June 10, 1961, and together they started and operated Sika School of Dancing until his passing in 1982. She continued on with help from her daughter and granddaughter until her retirement in 2018 after 59 years of teaching and inspiring students of all ages.
She married George Hutch on May 11, 1985, and he survives her, along with her daughter, Shelley (Tony) Palmer and step-children, Barbara (John) Cubic, and Bill Huch. Also surviving are her brother, Charles (Judy) Schecter, and sisters, Carolyn (Gerry) Caugh and Sally (Jerry) McGoran, grandchildren Leah (Chris) Dekker, Joe (Raeanne) Sika, Steven (Karlie) Sika, Savannah Lazarus, Brennen Cubic, Will Cubic, Madelynn Huch, Collin Huch, and great-grandchildren, Keeley Dekker, Cameron Dekker, Addison Sika, Tucker Sika and Fisher Sika, as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews, and special daughters-in-law, Brenda (Bob) Ketchum and Stefanie (Dan) Downs.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Buddy Sika; son, Joe Sika, and grandson, Alex Lazarus.
Carlotta loved to travel and socialize, but the greatest loves of her life were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, as well as all the dance students throughout the years who were like family to her.

A CELEBRATION OF LIFE for Carlotta will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 4, 2024, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444.
