Mr. Carlton J. Bogue's Obituary
Mr. Carlton J. Bogue, age 84, went to be with his Lord at home surrounded by his family on Monday, April 2, 2012 after a battle with COPD and cancer. He was born on March 25, 1928 in Missaukee County, Lake City, MI to Florence and Benjamin Bogue. He served in the United States Marines and was employed as a machinist at Teledyne Continental Motors for 40 years until his retirement in 1990. Carl was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church. He enjoyed his family, hunting, fishing, was an avid bowler for many years at Northway Lanes, and was a big fan of the Detroit Tigers. On April 17, 1948, Carl married his wife of nearly 64 years, Joyce Archambault, and she survives him along with 3 sons, Daniel (Mary) Bogue, Richard (Marlene) Bogue, Tom (Jan) Bogue; twin daughters, Jill (Steve) Wagner and Jan Kopp; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Geneva Dixon; 2 sisters-in-law, Virginia and Bertha Bogue; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Tom Kopp; granddaughter, Rachele Bogue; 6 brothers, Samuel, Homer, Leland, Louis, Gerald, and Edgert; and 3 sisters, Gertrude Hicks, Maxine Eklund, and Betty Suttles. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 2:00PM Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church (2651 Shettler Rd., Muskegon, MI 49444) with Pastor Timothy Winkel officiating. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service. MEMORIALS to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church or Mercy VNS Hospice would be appreciated.
