Carol S. Brott's Obituary
Carol S. Brott, age 85, passed away Monday, January 30, 2023. She was born on December 24, 1937 to Robert and Margaret Kraft in Muskegon, MI and has remained a life-long resident. She graduated from Muskegon High School class of 1955. Carol was a dedicated employee of S.D. Warren papermill where she worked as a secretary for 35 years before retiring in 1994. On January 13, 1956, she married Marvin Brott Sr. in Muskegon, MI. Carol enjoyed dabbling in a bit of everything, she was an avid bowler and golfer. She was always keeping up with her brothers, whether they were snowmobiling, riding motorcycles or fishing. Carol was also a skilled hunter and continued her solo trips to the woods until she was 75 years old. She was a force to be reckoned with who could hold her own in any situation. Carol was known for her spit-fire personality, talent of being able to stretch the truth and living life to the fullest. Carol will always be remembered for her vivacious personality and being like a box of cereal, full of nuts and flakes! She will be missed by all who knew her. Carol is survived by her husband, Marvin Brott Sr., five children, Lori (Dave) Yaros, Marvin Brott Jr., TerriSue Collins, Scott (Donna) Brott and Meri Phelps; furry love of her life, Jessie; 12 grandchildren, Mathew (Brandi) Yaros, Amanda Yaros, Josh (Tracey) Brott, Jeremy (Cassie) Collins, Rick (Jessica) Elrod, Karley (Kevin) Davis, Shannon Carr, Michelle (Ron) Bacon, Justin (Ami) Phelps, Jerrett (Chelsea) Phelps, Jenna (Jacob) Perry and Shana (Jeff) Sischo; 23 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Terry (Barbara) Kraft and Tim (Mary) Kraft; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. A Celebration of Carol’s life will be held at the Vikings at a later date. Memorial contributions in her honor can be made to Pound Buddies.
