Carol L. Cole's Obituary
Carol L. (Hartman) Cole of Grand Rapids, Michigan, age 85, passed away early on May 27, 2026, at her residence under hospice care. She was born on December 13, 1940 in Muskegon, MI to Carl and Louise Hartman. Carol graduated from Muskegon Sr. High School in 1959 and went on to Kendall School of Design, graduating in 1961. On December 28, 1963, she married Thomas Cole of Grand Rapids, MI. He preceded her in death on April 21, 2023, they were married for 59 years. Carol was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, James Hartman. She is survived by her son, Christopher Cole of Chicago, Ill.; daughter, Jennifer Cole of New York; and brother Robert (Cheryl) Hartman of Norton Shores, MI; as well as a host of cousins, nieces and nephews, and dear friends. Cremation has taken place and a gathering of remembrance for family and friends will be announced at a later date. Arrangements made through The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services.
