Carol Ann DeWitt's Obituary
Carol Ann DeWitt, age 79, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2020. She was born April 20, 1941 in Muskegon to LaVerne and Martha (Sowa) LeBoeuf and was a lifelong resident. She married Melvin DeWitt in 1959 and he preceded her in death in 1976. Carol worked 13 years as a CNA for Mercy Hospital and retired early in 2004 to take care of her mom, Martha Lake. She was a longtime member of the former Olivet Reformed Church where she volunteered for many years. Carol was the life of the party and always made people laugh. Her kids and grandkids were the focus of her life. She enjoyed flower gardening, bird watching and volunteered many years for the Unity Music Fest. Survivors include 4 children, Steven Wayne (Justine) DeWitt, Diana Lynn Springstead, David Lee (Ruth) DeWitt, Jodi Ann Palsrok; 8 grandchildren, Trevor (Cortney) DeWitt, Tara (David) McLouth, Joshua (Ericka) Springstead, Alyssa Springstead, Abigail (Randy) Werner, David DeWitt Jr., Spencer Palsrok, Shelbi Palsrok; and 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 1 brother and 1 sister. Visitation will be held 1:00-2:00 PM Thursday, June 4, 2020 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Service, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI 49444.
