Carol M. Ferrier's Obituary
Carol Margaret Ferrier, age 78, passed away in Whitehall, MI, on Tuesday, March 11, 2025. Carol was born in St. Paul, MN, to Arthur and Helen (Rasmussen) Lindstrom on December 17, 1946. She married Peter Ferrier in February of 1981, and the two of them spent 42 wonderful years together until he preceded her in death in 2023. Carol was very dedicated to her career, working for over 30 years as an oral surgeon’s assistant and office manager in an oral surgery office before retiring in 2007. She enjoyed playing tennis, golf, and bridge with her friends. Carol was selfless, always making sure to put the needs of others before her own. She enjoyed hosting and entertaining others, especially her bridge groups. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, never missing an athletic event of her family members. More than anything she loved spending time with her family, especially going on family vacations and spending quality time with her grandchildren.
Carol will be lovingly remembered by her two children: Christian (Kelly) Toebe and Tracy Jacobson; two stepchildren: Nicola Story and Adrian Ferrier; four grandchildren: Anna Toebe, Luke Toebe, Jayden Jacobson, and Brodie Jacobson; four step-grandchildren: Jordan Carr, Alexandra Carr, Justice Sikkema, and Sierra Sikkema; and three siblings: Larry Lindstrom, Melody Kirkpatrick, and Brian Lindstrom. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Helen Lindstrom; husband, Peter Ferrier; and grandson, Samuel Story IV.
The family will be having a private celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Parkinson’s Foundation. Arrangements entrusted to The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 737 E. Apple Ave, Muskegon, MI, 49442.
