Carol A. Karel's Obituary
Carol Karel, age 64, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 in Muskegon. She was born on March 3, 1959 in Muskegon to Conrad and Helen (Gumbus) Ross. Carol worked many years at Fitzpatrick Electric and then Kendall Electric before retiring in 2019. On May 25, 1979, she married Thomas Karel and were married for 44 years together. Carol enjoyed camping and spending time with her family. Her grandkids called her grandma and mama Tom, and she loved everything that comes with being a grandma. SURVIVORS include her husband, Tom; 2 children, Amy (Kevin) Pruitt and Jason (Christina) Karel; 5 grandchildren, Zechariah, Eleanor, Westley, Anastasia and Wesson; brother, Dale Ross; sisters, Dawn Ross and Charlene (Bill) Anderson. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Conrad and Helen; and in-laws, Harry and Della Karel. Private family services will take place.
