Mrs. Carol Jean Kimble's Obituary
Mrs. Carol Jean (Rudd, Norstrom) Kimble, age 84, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2013. She was born December 16, 1928 in Muskegon Heights to the late Melvin and Ora (Cromer) Rudd. Carol was a 1946 graduate of Muskegon Heights High School and was an active member of Lake Harbor United Methodist Church. On November 12, 1966 she married Robert Kimble in Jackson, MI and he preceded her in death on September 4, 2003. She worked for many years for Doo Drop Inn and also was co-proprietor of Long Point Cottages and the Bunk-in-Galley Bed and Breakfast in Whitehall. Carol was a past member of the Red Hat Society and loved playing Bingo and taking trips to the Casino with her friends. She very much enjoyed supporting her grandchildren and now great-grandchildren at their sporting events. SURVIVORS include her Son, Rick (Marcia) Norstrom and their family, Marcy (Scott) Hannahs, Kalynn and Erick; Kindra (Mark) Vilneff, Jordyn and Ashtyn. Daughter, Nancy (Jon) Ryerson and their family, Elly (Jeremy) Kennedy, Ryleigh, Tristyn and Brecken; Jon Ryerson; Martin (Jaynell Hogan) Ryerson. Daughter, Laura (Vic) Smith and their family, Jason (Misti) Smith and Ephraim; Joshua (Brittany) Smith, Remington and Hoyt; Joseph (Megan) Smith and their son due in August. Sister, Shirley Widing and her family. She was also preceded in death by her brother, George Rudd. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, April 18, 2013, at Lake Harbor United Methodist Church with Rev. Mark R. Erbes officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Lake Harbor United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
