Carol Anne "Buppy" Langfeldt's Obituary
Mrs. Carol Anne, affectionately known as “Buppy” Langfeldt, age 90, passed away peacefully at her home in Spring Lake on Saturday, June 1, 2024. She was born in Muskegon on January 8, 1934 to Harold and Dorothy (Strobeck) Lein and graduated from Muskegon Heights High School, class of 1952. After raising her four children, Buppy went back to school and earned her nursing degree. She worked as a nurse at Mercy Hospital and Brookhaven Nursing Home prior to becoming the Director of Nursing at Jellnek Key which specialized in inpatient substance abuse treatment. Buppy then started her own business, Coordinated Health Services, Inc., working with the District Courts, Circuit Courts, Prison System, and State of Michigan for over 30 years prior to her retirement. She was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. On December 27, 1952, Buppy married Jack W. Langfeldt in Muskegon and he preceded her in death in 2003. She is survived by her daughter, Jackie French; granddaughter, Kalyn (Steve) Wenderfer; sisters, Marilyn (Vytas) Dukas and Judith (Mike) Frank; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Jack, Buppy was preceded in death by three sons, Robert Langfeldt, Gregory Langfeldt, and Paul Langfeldt; son-in-law, Rory French; and siblings, William D. Peterson, Richard Lein, and Nancy Larson. She will forever be remembered as a quiet, unassuming and non-judgmental woman. A Private Memorial Service will be held later this summer at St. Paul’s.
