Carol J. McNeil's Obituary
Carol Joyce McNeil, age 82, passed away in Muskegon, MI, on Monday, February 17, 2025. Carol was born on November 8, 1942, in Muskegon, MI, to Duke and Gertrude (Dolenslager) Yonkers, and she graduated from Muskegon Heights High School. On July 19, 2004, she married Steve McNeil, and the two of them spent 20 wonderful years together. Their favorite pastimes included traveling the country in their RV and going to the sprint car races in Knoxville, Iowa every summer. She also enjoyed quilting, sewing, and spending time with her family.
Carol will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Steve McNeil; five children: Thomas VanderMolen, Kirk (Melissa) VanderMolen, Greg (Angie) Vanderstelt, Tricia McNeil, and Amy (Chad) Stone; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and brother, Dale Yonkers. She was preceded in death by her parents, Duke and Gertrude Yonkers.
A MEMORIAL VISITATION will be held for Carol from 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM on Friday, February 28, 2025, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI, 49444, with a brief PRAYER SERVICE taking place at 6:30 PM.
