Carol A. Meekhof's Obituary
Mrs. Carol A. Meekhof, age 72, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2017 in Muskegon. She was born in Memphis, Tennessee on July 17, 1944 to Carl and Lila (Ruple) Fletcher. Carol received her M.A. from the University of Florida and worked in public relations for over 20 years at Grocery Manufacturers Association. She also provided nutrition counseling in the tri-cities area. In 2002, she married Ronald Meekhof in Arlington, VA. Carol was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church and was a lifelong devoted Catholic. She was also a member of the American Dietetic Association, as well as the Tri-Cities Historical Museum. She enjoyed sailing, her friends, reading, music and the arts. SURVIVORS include her loving husband of 15 years, Ronald; children, Alison (Dave) Jenkins and Sarah (Drew) Corrigan; 5 grandchildren; her father, Carl Fletcher; sisters, Jean (Rick) Hoffman and Karen (George) Wiese. Carol was preceded in death by her mother, Lila. The MASS of CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be held at 11 AM on Friday, June 30, 2017 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 156 Valley Ave. S.W. Grand Rapids, MI. with Rev. Fr. Robert Sirico presiding. VISITATION will be held from 10-11AM prior to the service. Burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to The Sacred Heart of Jesus Academy or Grand Haven Area Community Foundation. Arrangements are being handled by The Lee Chapel, 6291 S.
