Carol H. Pomaville's Obituary
Carol Harriette Pomaville, age 68, passed away at the Harbor Hospice-Poppen Residence Tuesday morning, April 17, 2012 following a brief illness. She was born in Muskegon on June 8, 1943 to John and Irmgard (Schaefer) Firlit and was a 1961 graduate of Muskegon Catholic Central H.S. Carol was a faithful member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church where she had served as a Eucharistic Minister. Carol was a member of the Viking Linn Lodge, enjoyed an active and diverse lifestyle including, camping, going to the casinos, fishing, traveling and shopping. Prior to her retirement, Carol was employed in the accounting department of the Muskegon Chronicle for more than 30 years. She is survived by: her two sons, Randy (Angela Snyder)Pomaville of Norton Shores and Brent (Gracie Clarke) Pomaville of Hanford, California; a grandson, Rodney Wymer; great-grandson, Joseph; three sisters, Mariae Firlit of Grand Rapids, Lora (Gary) Ankeny of Norton Shores, Irma (Norman) Johnson of N. Muskegon; two brothers, Robert Firlit of Grand Rapids and Ronald (Cheryl) Firlit of Norton Shores; her best friend and significant other, Louis “Duffy” Bodnar of Holton; five nieces, Jenifer, Emily, Michelle, Julia and Alissa; a great-niece, Tia; and one great nephew, Christopher. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at, St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 11:00 A.M., Monday, April 23, 2012, Fr. Phil Salmonowicz presiding. Visitation will be held at the:
