Carol M. Uhor's Obituary
Carol M. Uhor, age 85, passed away early Monday, April 25, 2022. She was born on October 29, 1936 to John and Arlene (Zerns) Kleeves in Muskegon, MI and has been a lifelong resident. She was a graduate of North Muskegon high school class of 1954. Carol was a dedicated employee of GTE Yellow Pages, where she worked in directory for at least 20 years. On May 11, 1979, she married the love of her life, Joseph Uhor in Madeira Beach, FL. Together they cherished 23 years full of love, laughter and endless adventures. Carol was a woman of many talents, in her earlier years she loved to dance and figure skate. This was a sport that she continued to enjoy while watching her children perform. She was also quite crafty and enjoyed traveling while participating in arts and craft shows. She had a lifelong love for animals, especially dogs. For many years, she was breeder of Shih Tzus. Carol was blessed with a green thumb and her flower gardens flourished beautifully. She also loved to shop, whether it was clothes, shoes or jewelry. Carol was known to many as a fashionista! Above all things, she truly loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and she thought the world of them. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, wonderful mother, and doting grandmother. Carol will always be remembered for her generosity and unwillingness to give up, she was known for always putting up a fight. She was the perfect example of a woman blessed with a kind and tender-heart, yet effortlessly balanced with a strong willed and feisty spirit. She will truly be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her 3 children, Rhonda Richards, Bryan (Lisa) Lofgren and Laurie (Tod) Fisher; and 4 grandchildren, Tony Overway, Adam Richards, Angela (Aaron) Szura and Jennifer (Brad) Cullen. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Arlene Kleeves; and husband, Joseph Uhor. Memorial Contributions in Carol’s honor can be directed to the Noah Project.
