Carol A. Rubley's Obituary
Carol A. Rubley, age 61, passed away Wednesday morning, November 23, 2011 at the Heartwood Lodge Hospice Residence in Spring Lake following a brief illness. She was born in Muskegon on May 4, 1950 to Russell A. and Doris D. (Koplen) Kitchen and was a 1968 graduate of Orchard View High School. Carol married Mr. D. Kent Rubley in Muskegon on September 12, 1970. Carol and Kent spent 29 years living in Waterford Michigan before returning to W. Michigan to settle in Grand Haven in 1998. Carol was a former bookkeeper and most recently was employed as a floral designer for Lakeshore Floral. She enjoyed reading, gardening, the OV Girls Supper Club and being with Kent, her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her: husband, Kent; two daughters, Beth (Rodney) Lloyd of Fenton and their sons, Max & Jack and Sara (Barry) Miller of Chesterfield, MI and their children, Chase & Miranda. Carol was preceded in death by her mother in 2008 and her father, Russ this past September 29th. A joint memorial service to celebrate the life of both Carol and her father, Russ will be held at: The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100, 11:00 A.M., Saturday, December 10, 2011, Rev. William Uetricht officiating. Visitation: the family will begin greeting quests one hour prior to the service. Memorial Contributions: Love, Inc. or American Cancer Society.
