Carole Ann Garzelloni's Obituary
Carole Ann Garzelloni, age 82, passed away Monday, December 14, 2020 at Mercy Hospital. She was born July 26, 1938 in Grand Rapids, MI to Charles and Helen (Maidment) VanderVeen. Carole graduated from Coopersville High School. On June 10, 1961, she married Joseph E. Garzelloni, Sr. at St. Michael Catholic Church in Dennison. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Spring Lake where she sang in the choir, volunteered for the funeral committee, the library committee, and the school cafeteria. Carole will be greatly missed by her loving family and many dear friends. Survivors include her loving husband, Joseph E. Garzelloni, Sr.; 2 children, Lynn M. (Timothy N.) Dell, Joseph E. Garzelloni, Jr.; 4 grandchildren, Erin (Keith) Moore, Jackson Dell, Isabella Grace Garzelloni, Olivia Gianna Garzelloni; 1 great grandson, Calvin Jackson Moore; 2 brothers, Kenneth (Beverly) VanderVeen, Robert (Patricia) VanderVeen; 3 brothers-in-law, Thomas (Mary) Garzelloni, William (Shirley) Garzelloni, James (Maribeth) Garzelloni; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 sister, Sharon VanderVeen, and 3 brothers-in-law, Pasquale “Pat” (Betty) Garzelloni, Frank “Beef” (Mona) Garzelloni, and Edward Garzelloni. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Saturday, December 19, 2020 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church (406 E. Savidge St., Spring Lake) with Rev. Fr. David Gross presiding. Public Visitation limited to 25 people at a time with social distancing will be held 5-8 PM Friday at The Spring Lake Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 213 E. Savidge St, Spring Lake, MI 49456. Interment will take place at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Coopersville. Memorial Contributions may be directed to St. Mary’s Catholic Church Memorial Fund, the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
