Mrs. Carole M. Kollar's Obituary
Carole M. Kollar, age 96, passed away on Friday, August 25, 2023. She was born on October 30, 1926, in Detroit, MI and raised by Casimer and Rose (Krolczyk) Kalke. She later made her way to Muskegon, which she has called home for numerous years. She dedicated many years working as both a hairdresser and bartender. On June 7, 1947, she married the love of her life, Joseph Kollar. Together they cherished 65 years full of love and laughter. Carole was part of the Lithuanian club and enjoyed spending time with her friends. She was an avid bowler, dancer and singer. Carole had a tender heart for animals, especially her pups, Marley and Remmy. She will truly be missed by the many who knew and loved her. She is survived by her two daughters, Sheree (Floyd) Boutell and Susan Kollar; three grandchildren, Jessica Romanov, Roxanne Stacey and Freija Stacey; and two great-grandchildren, Anthony VanderHoven and Codie Stacey-Thomas. She was preceded in death by her parents; Casimer (Rose) Kalke; husband, Joseph Kollar; two brothers, Jerry and Casey; and sister, Phyllis. Memorial Contributions in Carole’s honor can be directed to Heaven Can Wait Animal Haven. According to Carole’s wishes, no services will be held.
