Caroline Seaholm Bytwerk's Obituary
Caroline Seaholm Bytwerk, age 88, passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2021. She was born May 9, 1932 in Grand Rapids to Karl and Esther (Peterson) Lundeen and graduated from Union High School. Caroline had worked for World Vision for 8 years prior to her employment at Whitehall Industries. She worked for Whitehall Industries from 1974 until her retirement in 1994. On September 8, 1951, she married Donald R. Seaholm in Grand Rapids and he preceded her in death on December 4, 1989. She then married Andrew J. Bytwerk in Muskegon on November 7, 1998 and he also preceded her in death on June 23, 2014. Caroline was an avid reader, loved to sing, and enjoyed watching cooking shows on TV. She loved to travel and was an outgoing, social person. She lived a full life and made many special friends throughout her lifetime. SURVIVORS include 3 children: Roger Seaholm of Pentwater, Larry Seaholm of Whitehall, and Beth (Mike) Scheuer of Montague; 5 grandchildren: Zachary Seaholm, Molly (Nick) Chasco, Polly (Matthew) Folmnsbee, Leslie (Erik) Poel, and Joseph (Rebecca Skillern) VanDerStelt; 8 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-granddaughter; brother, Karl (Beth) Lundeen of Grand Rapids; 3 nieces and 1 nephew; and numerous cousins. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Roger Lundeen. Private family services will be held for Caroline. She will be laid to rest in Rosedale Memorial Park Cemetery in Grand Rapids. MEMORIALS to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital will be appreciated.
