Carolyn Ann Bailey's Obituary
Carolyn Ann Bailey, age 77, of Grand Haven passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at Heartwood Lodge Hospice Residence. She was born April 16, 1940, in Birmingham, Alabama, to Richard P. and Rosa Emma Gertrude (Glaser) Acton. Carolyn married Jefferson D. Bailey, he preceded her in death on April 1, 2017.
Carolyn was a member of the Church of Christ in Grand Haven. She worked as a librarian/cataloger for seventeen years in Valdez, Alaska. Carolyn loved flowers, and cats.
She is lovingly remembered by her son, T. Wayne Bailey of Monterey, CA; her twin daughters, Valerie (Kyle) Brady of Spring Lake, and Vanessa Jamison of Marysville, WA; four grandchildren: Andrew L. Kunas, Kristie (Bobby) Leon, Logan Brady, and Casey Brady. She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Elva Hatton and Frances Pennington, and her brother, Richard Acton.
The funeral service for Carolyn will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 15, 2018, at the Church of Christ in Grand Haven with Keith Owens, evangelist, officiating. Friends may meet the family from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, February 14, 2018, at Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services – The VanZantwick Chapel. Interment will be in Welti Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Alabama. Memorial contributions to the Church of Christ are appreciated.
