Carolyn Ida Hradsky's Obituary
Carolyn Ida Hradsky, age 89, passed away at home on August 20, 2018. She was born on April 21, 1929 to Charles and Henrietta (Theodorf) Erickson in Muskegon. Carol was a lifelong resident of Muskegon. She lived in the same home for over 80 years. The home Carol and Joe raised their children; the home where nephews, nieces, grandchildren and great-grandchildren gathered. Carol loved to cook and bake, she made delicious apple pie. She was also an avid seamstress, she especially loved to create patchwork quilts and baby quilts. Other loves included gardening, when she was able, and watching baseball. Carol was a loyal fan of the Tigers and the Cubs. For over 12 years Carol fought Parkinson’s disease. Although PD stole her voice and ravaged her body it didn’t take her spirit or her spunk! Carolyn is survived by her son, Charles (Donna) Hradsky; daughter, Barbara Hradsky Bobinski (Kevin); grandchildren, David (Stef) Hradsky, Jonathan (Katy) Hradsky, Jessica (Shawn) Brandow, Justin Reed; great-grandchildren, Oliver Hradsky, Reed Brandow, Anika Brandow, Maelee Brandow and Gavin Welch. Carol is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph Hradsky; and brother, Jack Erickson. A FUNERAL SERVICE for Carolyn will take place on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Mark Lutheran Church (4475 Henry St.) with Pastor Mark Gilson presiding.
