Carolyn M. Skocelas' Obituary
Mrs. Carolyn M. Skocelas, age 73, passed away at Mercy Hospital surrounded by her family on Friday, April 18, 2008. She was born on December 9, 1934 to Joseph and Mary (Cwynar) Bickowski in Muskegon and was a life resident of the area. She was a member of St. Francis deSales Catholic Church. On October 16, 1954 she married her true love Joseph Skocelas in Muskegon and he survives her along with 4 children, Judge Joe and Nancy Skocelas of Plainwell, MI, John (Jill) Skocelas of Muskegon, MaryAnn (Ted) Tejchma of Muskegon and Sally (Pete) Pallas of Muskegon; Mrs. Skocelas life pride was her family and 10 grandchildren; Nick, Nate, Kate, Sara, Paige, Megan, Brooke, Tom, John, Joe and 1 sister, Shirley Bickowski of Muskegon. MASS of CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated 11 AM Tuesday April 22, 2008 at St. Francis deSales Catholic Church. VISITATION with the family will be from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Monday at The Walburn Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. 231-759-8565 with the Rosary prayed at 6 PM. Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery. MEMORIALS to Muskegon County Catholic Education Foundation or the American Heart Association will be appreciated.
