Carrlos L. Piggee's Obituary
Carrlos L. Piggee, a cherished husband, father, son, brother, and friend, peacefully passed away surrounded by his loved ones. Born on March 22, 1976, Carrlos was the son of Joyce Piggee and Johnnie Render. He completed his education in the Muskegon Public School System, earning his high school diploma. In 2004, Carrlos and Latina tied the knot, embarking on a lifelong journey filled with love and commitment. Known for his dedication to family and leadership in the community, Carrlos served as a Plant Manager at Clarios. Over the past fourteen years, he worked with youth across Michigan through programs like Generation E, Ready for School Care and Share, The Big Red Heart Association, GRCC Workforce Training Program, Lead By Design Training, as well as various churches and community events. Carrlos was honored with the Dale Carnegie Highest Award of Honor and received graduate coach awards. Notably, he organized President Obama's visit to the first Lithium-Ion Battery Facility in the U.S. in Holland, Michigan, and was chosen by his employer to work in France for a year to enhance the company's management resources for the Lithium-Ion Business.
Carrlos leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Latina Piggee, and their son, Lord Thomas II and Armani Piggee. Carrlos was the cherished son of Joyce Piggee and Johnnie Render, and the loving brother of Tawon Piggee, Johndrieus (Josilynn) Betts Render, Tamika Brantley, and Sheisssa Betts. He was the proud grandfather of Major Piggee and A'Minah Thomas. Carrlos was blessed with the love and guidance of his mother-in-law Diane Wilson, His bonus mom Sandra Hopson, his Godparents, Gary Melton and Tawana McDaniel and shared a special bond with his godbrother, Dominique Melton, and God sisters, Monica Hildreth and Monta Smith. His life was further enriched by his God children, Omar Buchanan, Camylle Chapman, Kohlby Hopson, AJ Bradford, and Malani Hunter. Carrlos is also remembered by his sisters-in-law, Anitra (Stanley) Cunningham and Glenetta Riley Piggee, and his brother-in-law, Terry (Latina) McKay. He leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends, and the Clarios family, who all mourn his passing. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Johnnie Render Sr. and Letha Mea, his maternal grandparents, Willie James and Elnora Wyrick, his brother, Dereko Piggee, and his brother-in-law, Kelsey Wilson.
FUNERAL SERVICES for Carrlos will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, September 9, 2024, at Beulah Missionary Baptist Church (2601 Manz St.) with Rev. James M. Williams officiating. VISITATION will be held 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444.
