Mr. Carroll R. Dumas' Obituary
Mr. Carroll R. Dumas, age 84, went to be with his Lord, surrounded by his family, Friday, December 30, 2016 in Hudsonville, MI. He was born March 20, 1932 in Scottville, MI to Richard and Karen (Christoffersen) Dumas. On March 23, 1952 he married the former Mary L. Utterback in Pentwater, MI. Mr. Dumas owned and operated Dumas Tool and Manufacturing for 28 years before retiring in 1978. SURVIVORS include his wife, Mary; 2 children: Steven Dumas of Muskegon, Linda (Larry) Bishop of Jenison; 3 grandchildren: Nate (Amber) Bishop of E. Grand Rapids, Bethany (Dave) Stone, Amy (Daaron) Fleeger both of Grandville; 9 great-grandchildren: Dawson, Ethan, and Gabriella Bishop, Eddison, Henry, and Hudson Stone, Daaron, Colton, and Emery Fleeger; several nieces and nephews; and a special life-long friend, Dave Cross. He was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Dumas. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 3:30 PM Saturday, January 7, 2017 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100, with Rev. Ray Paget officiating. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The Laurels of Hudsonville to go towards the Activity Department or Attic After School (a program for at risk teens).
