Caryn "Carrie" Stone's Obituary
Caryn “Carrie” Luanne Stone, age 48, passed away in Muskegon, MI, on Friday, December 15, 2023. She was born in Muskegon on May 31, 1975, to Thomas and Susan (White) Stone, and she lived her whole life in the Muskegon area. When she was young she attended McGraft Congregational Church, and she loved the time that she spent at Wesley School. Carrie loved music, arts and crafts, and going on car rides. She absolutely loved spending time with her family, especially rocking in her recliner next to her mother, and her face brightened up every time she saw them. Many of her favorite memories took place at their family’s cottage on School Section Lake, where she was able to play in the water and the sand with her parents, siblings, aunt, uncle, and cousins. Carrie was smart and had a pure heart. She was strong-willed and determined, and she always fought for what she wanted. Carrie will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Susan Stone; three siblings: Christine Krive, Cathleen Stone, and Matthew (Mae) Stone; niece, Emma (Josiah) Youngquist; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Stone; and her grandparents, Leslie and Jane White and Anna Stone. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be taking place for Caryn at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at The Walburn Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd, Muskegon, MI, 49441, with VISITATION taking place an hour prior. Memorial contributions may be made out to The Epilepsy Foundation.
