Casey Kiel's Obituary
Casey Kiel (Kielczynski), age 93, passed away on Saturday, June 15th. He was born on September 27, 1930, in Muskegon, the son of William and Katherine (Kutas) Kielczynski. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served in Okinawa, Japan during the Korean War. Casey married Eugenia Gawlik on June 5, 1965. He was a patternmaker and worked at Anderson Pattern for 42 years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of St. Michael’s Church, and a member of the former Catholic War Veterans Post #843. He was also an active member, trustee, and treasurer for many years at the Polish Falcon Club Nest 276. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Eugenia; daughter, Lucy (Joe) Oza; grandson, Eric Oza; granddaughter, Jen (Walter) Grysko; great-granddaughter, Olivia; brother in-law: Stanley (Josephine) Gawlik; sister in-law, Irene; and two nieces, three nephews, and several cousins that all held a very special place in his heart. He will be greatly missed by all. He was preceded in death by his parents, one half-brother, and two half-sisters. A VISITATION will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024, from 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 1716 Sixth St, Muskegon, MI, 49441. The ROSARY will be prayed at 10:30 AM, and the MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will begin at 11:00 AM. He will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
