Catherine Carvey's Obituary
Mrs. Catherine Carvey, age 98, died Friday, August 6, 2004. She was born November 25, 1905 in Muskegon to John and Ellen (Wyn) Barsema and had been a life resident. Mrs. Carvey worked for J.C. Penney’s for 21 years before her retirement, and was a member of Lakeside United Methodist Church. On December 21, 1925, she married Harold K. Carvey in Muskegon, and he preceded her in death in 1982. Throughout the years Catherine has retained her good humor, optimism, and love for life and family. SURVIVORS include 3 sons, Robert (Carol) Carvey, Kenneth (Joyce) Carvey, Larry (Jan) Carvey all of Muskegon; daughter, Eleanor Daniels of Muskegon; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by 9 siblings. SERVICES will be 1:00 PM Tuesday at Lakeside United Methodist Church with Pastor Robert Keim officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. VISITATION will be from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Monday at
