Mrs. Catherine Dault's Obituary
Mrs. Catherine Dault, age 97, of Grand Haven passed away Thursday, July 18, 2013 at Hospice House at Heartwood Lodge. She was born February 1, 1916 in Rib Lake, WI to Jacob and MaryAnn (Babola) Niemiec.
She was a member of St. Patrick’s & St. Anthony’s Parish, where she served on the altar society for many years. Catherine was a member of the adoration Chapel and a daily communicant. She was an avid dancer, enjoyed bingo, fishing, gardening and traveling. In later years she would be seen at the Senior Center weekly, but most of all she loved her family.
On October 14, 1933, she married Edward Dault, Sr. and he preceded her in death on July 14, 1977. She is survived by 6 children, Louise (Ray) Suchecki of Nunica, Edward (Phyllis) Dault Jr, of Grand Haven, Norman (Patricia) Dault of Winter Park, FL, Jane Simonte of Grand Haven, Catherine Bogdan of Martin and Joseph (Teresa) Dault of Norton Shores; 22 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Erick Suchecki; daughter-in-law, Barbara Dault; 4 brothers, Albert, John, Stanley and Andrew Niemiec; 4 sisters, Anne Fischer, Nellie Cooper, Christina Holtz and Helen Niemiec. The family would like to thank all of her special caregivers and especially the hospice staff at Heartwood Lodge.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at St. Patrick’s & St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with Rev. Father William Langlois officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will take place in Lake Forest Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Catherine may be given to Rev. WM. A.
