Catherine Ann Goodwin's Obituary
Catherine Ann Goodwin, age 79, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2020 at her home in Muskegon, Michigan. She was born in Grand Haven on February 14, 1940 to John and Catherine (Ellens) VanderMolen. Catherine was employed as a nurse’s aid at DeBoer Nursing Home prior to her retirement in 2000. She was a member of St. Mary the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and she enjoyed shopping. She is survived by five children, Dave Goodwin, James A. (Debbie) Goodwin, James “Ted” (Lorraine) Goodwin, Cheri Rennells, and Jon Goodwin; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Louie and Jack VanderMolen; and her former husband, James Goodwin. VISITATION will be from 12:00 – 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at The Sytsema Chapel, Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 737 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442. Due to state restrictions, masks will be required and a maximum of 25 persons indoors will be allowed. Please be courteous with time spent with the family as others will be waiting to see them.
