Catherine E. Mead's Obituary
Catherine Mead, a beloved mother, grandmother and sister, passed away on July 30, 2023, in Muskegon, MI. Catherine was preceded in death by her father, mother, sister Gloria Rector, and brother Richard Manni. Catherine is survived by her daughter Andrea Mackey and her husband Scott, her beloved grandchildren, granddaughter Erin Mackey and Chris Mitchell, and grandson Scott Mackey Jr., and her great-grandsons Grayson Shelton and Oliver Mitchell. She is also survived by her brother Charles Leigh, sister Carolyn Leigh of Kalamazoo, MI, her brother Louis Couch and his wife Sue of Morgantown, WV, and her brother Chris Gulch of Hastings, MI. Catherine attended Thornapple Kellogg High School and further pursued her passion for cosmetology at Chic University of Cosmetology. She eventually became a dedicated cosmetology instructor, sharing her knowledge and skills with aspiring professionals. Outside of her career, Catherine had a deep love for theater, dancing, and spending time with her beloved grandchildren. She found joy in nurturing their talents and creating lasting memories with them. Catherine Mead will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Her warm-hearted nature, love for life, and dedication to her craft will be remembered fondly. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
