Catherine Pulos' Obituary
Mrs. Catherine Pulos, age 92, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at the Poppen Residence surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Pulos was born May 2, 1922 to Thomas and Aspasia Lakos in Muskegon. On April 24, 1946 she married Peter W. Pulos and together they raised two children. Catherine was a member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church where she was involved with Daughters of Penelope, Philoptochos Society and a member of the Muskegon Country Club. She was an accomplished writer and published a book titled “Black Belt Shoppers”. Catherine also enjoyed crafting, knitting, crocheting and gardening. She was an artist, decorator, great cook and baker. She loved animals, especially her dog, Parker. Catherine is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Peter; their children, Sam (Tina) Pulos and Carol (Ed) Rondo; grandchildren, Samantha, Katina, Peter and William; and eight great-grandchildren, Madison, Gabrielle, Samirah, Constantine, Alexandria, Zachary, Bailey and Cooper. She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Charles, George, Samuel and Anthony Lakos. SERVICES will be held 11:00 AM Monday, December 22, 2014 at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 185 E. Pontaluna Road with Fr. James Honeycutt presiding. Burial will be in Mona View Cemetery. VISITATION with the family will be 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Sunday at The Lee Chapel, 6295 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores 231 798-1100 and also one hour prior to the service at church.
