Catherine Alverda Sidock's Obituary
Mrs. Catherine A. Sidock, age 78, passed away unexpectedly, Monday, January 02, 2006 in Muskegon. She was born October 18, 1927 in Frankfort, Michigan to William and Velma (Dieffenbacher) White and moved to Muskegon in 1945. “Kate” loved spending time with her family and especially enjoyed her grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing aggravation “marbles”, and spending hours in her extensive flower garden. She married Joseph J. Sidock on June 8, 1946 in Muskegon. SURVIVORS include her husband, Joseph; 6 children, Robert J.(Barbara) Sidock of Muskegon, Nicholas Jay Sidock of Muskegon, Rose Ann Sidock of Muskegon, Laura Kay Small of Muskegon, Nora Lea (Richard) Huls of Wyoming, Michigan, and Anthony Andrew (Tommy LaLonde) Sidock, of Muskegon; 8 Grandchildren; 7 Step-grandchildren; 5 Great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Edyth White of Muskegon; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Denise Egan She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Leslie, Fred, and Richard White. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday, at The Walburn Chapel, with Rev. David Willerup of Westwood Reformed Church officiating. VISITATION will be from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W. Sherman Blvd.231-759-8565. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
