Cecelia Yvonne Wolcott's Obituary
Mrs. Cecelia Yvonne Wolcott, age 72, passed away early Friday evening at her residence following a long illness. She was born in Muskegon on April 9, 1936 to Daniel and Beatrice (Moreland) Lynch. Cecelia was a 1954 graduate of Muskegon Catholic Central and was a graduate St. Mary’s School of Nursing. She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church and until her retirement in 1997, was a Registered O.B. Nurse at Hackley Hospital for 31 years. Cecelia brought numerous children into this world during her nursing career and was honored for saving the lives of two children, one she resuscitated following a drowning and yet another tragically hit by a car. She is survived by: six children, Debra (David) Bowden of Grand Haven, Paul (Janet) Wolcott of Muskegon, Mary Kay (Jeff) Radford of Ravenna, Robin (David) Denning of Ravenna, Robert (Pam) Wolcott of Spring Lake and Danielle (Doyle) Johnson of Muskegon; five brothers, Michael (Beatrice) Lynch, John (Carol) Lynch, Patrick (Geraldine) Lynch, Donald (Maxine) Lynch and William (Elizabeth) Lynch; two sisters, Betty Ann (Jerry) Deater, Agnes (Paul) Phillips and sister-in-law, Frankie Lynch; 24 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: daughter, Cheryl Wolcott-Batten in 2004; brother, Tom and sisters, Dorothy Wright and Mary Lou Guendell.
