Cecilia Marie Langlois' Obituary
Mrs. Cecilia Marie “Chum” Langlois, age 81, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2021 in Muskegon. She was born in Muskegon on April 18, 1939 to James and Mary (DeVille) McCabe. Cecilia worked as a Service Coordinator for Mercy Amicare Home Health for 19 years prior to her retirement in 2004. She was a member of St. Mary’s the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, “The Bell” Club (high school friend group from 1959), the Red Hats – Cream Puffs, and the Walker Arena Kitchen Group. Cecilia loved to travel and especially enjoyed her trips on the Tall Ships. On September 20, 1956, Cecilia married Archie A. Langlois in Muskegon and he survives her along with three children, Jacinta “Cindi” (Harry) Larson, Nancy (John) Lundholm, and Janae (Jeff) Bell; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-granddaughters; two brothers, Patrick McCabe and Michael (Adele) McCabe; and one sister, Joyce (Ron) Uganski. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Susan Langlois; two brothers, Deacon Bill McCabe and Earl McCabe; one sister, Bernice DeVine; and two sisters-in-law, Peg and Ann McCabe. Due to Covid-19 and current restrictions, cremation has taken place and a CELEBRATION OF CECILIA’S LIFE will be held at a later date.
