Chad Ryan Gordon's Obituary
Mr. Chad Ryan “Gordo” Gordon, age 45, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 23, 2024 in Muskegon, Michigan. He was born in Muskegon on February 2, 1979 to Thomas and Claudia (Carpenter) Gordon and he graduated from Reeths-Puffer High School, class of 1997. Chad was employed by Intricate Grinding & Machine Specialties for 27 years and had previously worked with his father-in-law at Harold’s Towing. He grew up playing baseball, enjoyed riding motocross, was a member of the Muskegon Motorcycle Gang, and loved watching comedians. Chad was an avid outdoorsman, hunter, and fisherman; his favorite days fishing were the ones spent with his children. He was a creative soul, a craftsman, and he loved his dogs, Arlo and Daisy. On May 25, 2002, Chad married the former Karri Kay Strait in Muskegon and she survives him along with their four children, Veronica Kay Gordon, Azlynn Joy Gordon, Ryan Thomas Gordon, and Collin Robert Gordon; parents, Thomas and Claudia Gordon; grandma, Carolyn Gordon; brothers, Tommy Gordon and Jeremy Gordon; mother-in-law, Linda Strait; siblings-in-law, David (Debbie) Strait, Tim (Vickie) Strait, Kimberly (Greg) Laskowski; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Robert Gordon; grandpa and grandma, Guy and Henrietta Carpenter; father-in-law, Ronald Strait; cousins, Scott and Tammy; and his beloved dogs, Shelby and Sadie. VISITATION will be held from 5-8 PM Friday, August 30, 2024 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444. A CELEBRATION OF HIS LIFE will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, August 31, 2024 at The Lee Chapel. Burial will be in Laketon Township Cemetery.
