Chandler Joseph "Chan Man" Hoover's Obituary
With hearts broken but full of love, we share that Chandler Joseph Hoover, “Chan Man,” age 20, passed away Sunday, August 10, 2025, from injuries sustained in a car accident.
Born on February 17, 2005, in Muskegon to Rachael Weinert and Eric Hoover, Chandler spent his life in the community he loved. A 2023 graduate of Reeths-Puffer High School, Chandler was currently working alongside his stepdad, Jeremy Griffin, at R & R Landscape and Supply while pursuing his vocational certificate in Residential and Commercial Construction.
Chandler was a young man who worked hard, laughed often, and loved deeply. He was happiest on his dirt bike, snowmobile, or behind the wheel of his Audi, sharing the road with friends from the Audi Club. Whether tearing up a trail in the winter, hiking through the woods, hunting, fishing, or just hanging out, Chandler brought his own brand of humor, loyalty, and determination everywhere he went.
He leaves behind a family who adored him — his mom and stepdad, Rachael and Jeremy Griffin; his dad, Eric Hoover; his sister, Morgyn (Star Guevara) Weinert; his stepbrother, Barrett Griffin; grandmothers, Sue Weinert and Susan Pearson; aunts and uncles, Darren & Christy Brandt, John & Shanna Mabrito, and Melissa Hoover; his cousins, Caleb, Allie, Christian, Matt, Mark, Carly, and Nick; his best friend, Cole Rust; and his loyal White German Shepherd, Bentley. He was welcomed into heaven by his grandfathers, Larry Weinert and Joseph Hoover, who no doubt greeted him with open arms.
Chandler’s laughter, grit, and love will be missed every single day.
A Funeral Service to honor Chandler’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 15, 2025, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI 49444, with Pastor Jeremy Wegner officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service, starting at 10:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, hug the people you love, take that ride, laugh a little louder, and live life the way Chandler did — full throttle.
