Mrs. Charlene (Holcomb) Drake's Obituary
Mrs. Charlene M. (Holcomb) Drake, age 78, has been called home by the Lord on July 10, 2013. She was born October 21, 1934 to Valda and Ina (Sampson) Young in Muskegon, and was a lifelong resident. Charlene worked at Shaw Walker for 23 years before retiring, enjoyed camping, and playing the keyboard. On August 11, 1956 she married Herbert Holcomb, and he preceded her in death on June 8, 1979. She later married Robert F. Drake on September 11, 1982, and he preceded her in death on April 5, 1996. SURVIVORS include 6 children, Bradley Holcomb of Muskegon, Adele Holcomb of Muskegon, Valerie (Rick) Gomez of Kingsley, Virginia Holcomb, Zane (Tara) Holcomb, James Holcomb, all of Muskegon; 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; and a longtime friend Dolores Millis. THE FUNERAL SERVICE will be 1:00 PM Monday, July15, at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave.,Muskegon, (231) 726-5210. VISITATION will be from 2-5 PM Sunday afternoon.
