Charles Richard Anderson's Obituary
Charles “Chuck” Anderson, age 79, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, in Muskegon, MI. Chuck was born on March 19, 1943, to his parents George and Ruth (Fouts) Anderson in Muskegon, MI. He graduated from Muskegon High School, and then went on to work as a police officer for the City of Muskegon for over 30 years, reaching the rank of lieutenant. On October 19, 1963, he married the former Loraine Piotrowski, and they spent 59 wonderful years together. Chuck was a very hard worker, building and remodeling homes in addition to his police career. He always made sure to have a place on the lake for family to enjoy together, starting with School Section Lake, and later in Bitely, MI. He enjoyed traveling to many places, especially to his second home in Sun City, AZ. He was an avid fan of Muskegon Catholic Central, and was proud to send his kids to school there. His children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were very dear to him, and he loved supporting them by attending sporting events, concerts, etc., as well as providing a listening ear and the benefit of his love and wisdom whenever needed. His family will remember him lovingly, and will cherish the many life lessons that he taught them over the years. He is survived by his wife, Loraine; three children: Lisa (Jim) Cross, Shawn (Rick) Murray, and Chuck ( Racheal) Anderson; nine grandchildren: Andy Cross, Casey (Matt) Brennan, Michael Cross, Brandi (Shawn) Martin, Bryce (Travis) Backensto-Beebe, Staci Backensto, Alex (Chad) Moore, Rachelle Anderson, and Angelina Anderson; 10 great-grandchildren: Ace, Daniel, Aspen, Liam, Abri, Nevaeh, Will, Luna, Paxton, and Chase; and two sisters: Kay Olsen and Vicki Sheren.
