Mr. Charles V. Bellinger's Obituary
Mr. Charles V. Bellinger, age 96, died Monday, December 18, 2017 at a local hospital. Mr. Bellinger was born May 7, 1921 to Stephen and Lucille (Cleveland) Bellinger in Muskegon. Along with his four brothers, Charles served his country during WWII in the US Army. On May 9, 1945 he married Bonnie Nelson and she preceded him in death on November 13, 1999. He had worked at Bennett Pump as an assembler. Charles enjoyed Clint Eastwood movies, country music, and never passed up a good sale. He was known for his hot cheese and chili recipes. Charles had lots of friends; loved his caregivers (especially the ladies), but most of all he loved and will be missed by, his daughters, Kim (Michael) Mayberry and Stephanie Jo Bellinger, both of Muskegon; his grandchildren, Michael (Eric Farr) Mayberry, Rachael Engweiler, Shelly (David) Reek and Angie (Jason) Brock; great-grandchildren, Charles, Bailey, Dezzerae, Wyatt and Lily; and his special nephew, Pete (Anne) Derouin. Along with his wife, Bonnie, Charles was preceded in death by his son, Michael G. Bellinger; brothers, Phillip, George, Peter, and Stephen; and sisters, Esther Clark and Betty Derouin. A VISITATION for Charles will be Noon to 2:00 PM Saturday, December 23, 2017 at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210. Burial will be in Fruitland Twp. Cemetery with Full Military Rites.
