Charles "Chuck" F. Bryant's Obituary
Charles F. “Chuck” Bryant, Jr., age 49, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, October 22, 2022 after fighting a courageous battle against cancer. He was born March 8, 1973 in Muskegon to Charles F. and Marilyn (Ross) Bryant, Sr. and was a lifelong resident. Chuck graduated from Orchard View High School Class of 1992. On September 29, 2007, he married Wendy Jo Goudzwaard in Muskegon and she survives him. He was employed as a line lead at Structural Concepts for 10 years. Chuck was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed all things cars – especially drag racing. He especially loved spending time with his family and grandkids. He was quite the storyteller and instigated a lot of “friendly banter” between his boys and uncles – usually centered around who caught the biggest fish or shot the biggest deer. He was an outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish. He also found much joy just spending time around a bonfire in the company of those he loved. He will be greatly missed. Survivors include his loving wife of 15 years, Wendy Jo Bryant; 5 children, Jordan (Carter) Simpkins, Kyle (fiancé, Madison Segelstrom) Goudzwaard, Kody Goudzwaard, Kayla Willard, Zander Bryant; 5 grandchildren, Owen, Weston, Grifinn, Spencer, Theo; his mother, Maryilyn Bryant; 2 sisters, Kelly (Jim) Batch, Monica (Dale) Isaacson; father-in-law, James (Pat) Goudzwaard; 1 brother-in-law, James Goudzwaard; and 1 sister-in-law, Kelli (Jordan) Boerman. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles F. Bryant, Sr., and his mother-in-law, Mary Jo Goudzwaard. A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, October 29, 2022 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI 49442, with Rev. Dr. William J. Rudd officiating. Visitation will be held 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral home. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
