Charles E. "Buster" Davis' Obituary
Charles E. “Buster” Davis, age 87, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at Trinity Health – Muskegon Campus. He was born September 29, 1934 in Richmond, VA to John E. “Tucker” and Rosa L. (Shell) Davis and lived in the Muskegon area the past 20 years. Buster was a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard. He worked over 47 years for the Chesapeake Paper Mill in West Point, VA and retired in the early 2000’s from the Wood and Train Scale House. Buster married Leona D. Pritchard on September 17, 1980 in Virginia and she preceded him in death May 25, 2017. His first wife, Doris Palmer Davis, preceded him in death in 1977. Buster was a member of First Baptist Church of Muskegon where he was active with the Band of Brothers. He was a car enthusiast and enjoyed his 2 Chihuahua’s, Caiti and Sandy. Survivors include his sister, Isabel (Al) Jarvis of New Kent, VA; 2 daughters, Debbie (Ron) Glover of Twin Lake, MI, Wanda Barnhard of Grand Rapids, MI; and 3 generations of grandchildren, including Jason McAdams who has been by grandpa’s side the last 3 years; nephew, Robert Edward (Tammy) White of New Kent, VA; and niece, Christine (Steve) Calhoun of King and Queen, VA. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris; his second wife, Leona; and a son, Scott A. Stark. A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, August 1, 2022 at First Baptist Church (1070 Quarterline Rd.) with Pastor Andy Smith officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will take place at Twin Lake Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be directed to First Baptist Church.
