Charles E. Herr's Obituary
Mr. Charles E. Herr, age 85, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2015. He was born on December 13, 1929 in Muskegon to Bernhard and Alice (Sullivan) Herr and was a lifelong resident. On October 6, 1950 he married the former Mary Louise Berson and she preceded him in death in 2006. Charles was a veteran of the U.S Army. He was a Tool and Cutter Grinder at Pyle Pattern for many years but retired from Seaway Pattern in 1987. He enjoyed boat racing, hunting and fishing, restoring military vehicles and was a former Ham radio operator. Foremost , Charles always enjoyed time spent with his family. SURVIVORS include his son, Charles (Kristine) Herr Jr. of Twin Lake, MI; grandchildren, Justin and Amber. He also was preceded in death by his daughter, Janice Marie Herr. Funeral services will be held 12 Noon Saturday, September 26, 2015 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. (231) 798-1100. VISITATION with the family will be Friday 5-8pm and Saturday 11am- 12 Noon.
