Mr. Charles M. Hibbard's Obituary
Mr. Charles M. Hibbard, age 83, passed away unexpectedly Monday, January 7, 2013. He was born July 5, 1929, to George R. and Edna (Matzen) Hibbard in Grand Rapids, and spent most of his life in Muskegon. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp and the U.S. Navy. He was the owner of Charles M. Hibbard, Realtors, and Dune Harbor Real Estate. He is a member of St. Michaels Church. On July 25, 1953, Charles married Eleanore J. Schulist, and she survives him along with their five children, Charles C. (Debra) Hibbard, Gregory J. Hibbard, Gary T. Hibbard, Joan K. Hibbard of Muskegon, and Thomas M. (Debbie) Hibbard of Fruitport; 11 grandchildren, Heather (Nathan) Farkas, Charles C. (Natalie) Hibbard, Jr., Nicholas (Kari) Hibbard, Christopher Fors, Stefanie (Casey) Zwart, Amanda Hibbard, all of Muskegon, Monique M Hibbard, Brooke (Chuck) Bingham, Angela (Francisco) Paniaqua, Austin Rebar of Florida, and Natalie Claassen of Washington; 17 great-grandchildren, as well as his dear sister, Mary Anne (George III) Micka. He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 daughter-in-law, Gwen N. Hibbard; 1 nephew, George Micka IV; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Felix and Jean (Foltynewicz) Schulist. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be 10:00 AM Saturday at St. Michaels Church, with the Rev. Fr. Julian Reginato presiding. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery. VISITATION at Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc.,The Walburn Chapel, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., Muskegon, MI 49441 will be from 5-8 PM Friday, with the Rosary prayed at 7:30 PM .
