Charles Langler's Obituary
Mr. Charles Raymond ‘Dude’ Langler, age 77, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2004 after a short illness. He was born October 11, 1926 to John and Jennie (Hamm) Langler in Muskegon. Dude served his country in the US Army from 1945 to 1946 in Korea. He was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church. Dude was also a lifetime member of the VFW Post #446 where he was a member of the honor guard and a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed his yard and sitting around the campfire. He is survived by his by his daughter, Lynn Ann (Curtis) Campbell; 4 grandchildren, Mike and Dawn Myers, Jay and Andrea Langler, Leigh and AJ Hoffman-Baker and Kristen and Benji Kieft; his 3 precious great grandchildren, Kassandra D’ann Myers, Jalen Reese Langler and Michael Zachary Myers. He is also survived by his loving sisters, Delores and Barb; his great brothers, Don and Doug; sisters-in-law, Eva Gruszecki, Jean Schulist, Dorothy Langler; his close friends from the neighborhood, Pat, Joan, Cindy, Terry and Carolyn. Cremation has taken place and he will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife of 55 years, Josephine. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
