I was saddened to hear of Chuck's passing. And surprised to hear that he was living in Grand Haven, where I have lived for the past 11 years.
Chuck and I went to Creston High School and Grand Rapids Junior Collage together, had some classes together and hung out together on many occasions, visiting each other's homes and playing War Games together.. Then we lost contact after his divorce to his first wife, but have thought of him many times over the years since. He was a good friend over the years I knew him, so I'm not surprised to read of his good life since then.
Rest with God, Chuck. See you up there.
Laurie and family,
I was so saddened to learn of Chuck's death. It came as a huge surprise to me - way too young! I always thought well of him, such a nice guy. Sincere condolences to all of you. It is such a hard thing to deal with. Wishing you all strength and comfort in the days of adjustment ahead.
When you lose someone who was this central in your lives, sometimes it just feels like there is a big hole in your life for a long time. Please know that this will eventually pass and your lives will go on.
Sending love...
Truly a towering man of God! There are those who show us how to live, and Chuck did that. But those who can show so surely their relationship with Jesus can show us how to face death, and Chuck did that, too. We will miss his wisdom at our Tuesday Morning Men's Group at CLC. My prayers are all of Chuck's family at this difficult time. - Jerry Troke
I met Chuck when Lauri introduced him to me because he needed a stylist. His hair was changing and wanted something different. I have not known Chuck for long, but ,what a pleasure It was to be there for him. In spite of his illness his vanity was intact. I will definitely will miss our visits My sympathy to you Laurie and your family. ❤️ Valerie Grant
My condolences to Laurie and the rest of Chuck's family. Although it has been over 20 years, he was a wonderful boss with a great sense of humor. I am so glad to learn that he had a relationship with Jesus and is now in his presence and glory, peace to all - Anita Benes
Truly an amazing man. It was a very special honor to serve as an Elder with Chuck. His optimism and love Jesus inspired me to be a better person. May God's peace surround all of Chuck's family at this difficult time. - Glen Miller
