Mr. Charles "Chuck" McManus' Obituary
Mr. Charles E. “Chuck” McManus, 86, passed away early Tuesday morning, January 23, 2018, in Muskegon. He was born April 3, 1931 to Eugene and Carla (Lusk) McManus in Atlanta, MI, and lived most of his life in the Muskegon area. Chuck had worked at Shaw Walker/Knoll for 40 years, retiring in 1989, and ran 2 local carwashes for several years. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He also enjoyed bowling and going to the casino. On December 27, 1974 he married Donna Sagala, and she survives him along with 3 children, Eugene (Ida) McManus, Jeffery McManus, Michael (Ann) McManus; step-sons, Raymond Sagala and Michael Sagala; 3 grandsons, Charles, Jeffery and Nicholas; 5 great-grandchildren, Thorne, Blake, Korbin, Aurora and Arrabelle; his sister, Ivy Hanson; sister-in-law, Connie McManus; his former wife, Betty Shafer; numerous nieces and nephews; and his furry friends, Sam and Boliver. He was preceded in death by his father and mother; and his brother, John. A memorial service will be held Friday, January26, at the Sheridan Drive Baptist Church, 84 S. Sheridan Dr., at 11:00 AM. Visitation with Chuck’s family will be from 10:00 Am – 11:00 AM, also at the church. You may visit the family’s online guestbook at www.sytsemafh.com.
