Mr. Charles Evans Miller RPh's Obituary
Mr. Charles Evans Miller, age 81, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2014 at his home. Charles was born September 10, 1932 in Muskegon to John Charles and Catherine (Sachteleben) Miller. He was a 1954 graduate of Ferris State University College of Pharmacy. On April 18, 1953, he married the former Virginia Mae Hinton and she preceded him in death on April 23, 2005. On October 15, 2006, he married Debora Douglas and she survives him. Chuck started working for Pharmacist Guy Lindstrom at age 14, and later on in life, he joined with Robert Lindstrom as owners and operators of L&M Pharmacy. Chuck spent 37 years as a pharmacist in the Muskegon area, retiring in 1998. He was a member of the Michigan Pharmacists Association, the N.R.A. and the Twin Lake Gun Club. He was an avid coin collector and enjoyed deer hunting. In addition to his wife, Debbie, Chuck is survived by his children; Linda (Dennis) Bates of North Muskegon and David Charles (Mary) Miller of Muskegon; 5 grandchildren, Adam Charles Miller, Jennifer K. Bates, Julianne C. Bates, Rachelle E. Bates and Charles E. Bates; his sister, Shirley Hallstrand of Palm Springs, FL; several nieces and nephews; and best friends, Jack and Vicki Clark. Chuck was also preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert E. Miller and brother-in-law, Dick Hallstrand. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be 11AM Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at The Lee Chapel 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 with Pastor John H. Brown officiating. VISITATION will be one prior to the funeral (10-11AM). INTERMENT will be in Laketon Township Cemetery. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to ASPCA of Michigan, Animal Rescue.
