Mr. Charles W. "Bud" Stevenson , Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. Charles W. “Bud” Stevenson, Jr., age 87, passed away Monday morning, April 2, 2012. He was born June 11, 1924 in Chicago, IL to Charles W. and Estella (Harries) Stevenson, Sr. and had resided in the Muskegon area since 1953. Mr. Stevenson was a WWII U.S. Army Air Corp Veteran. He had worked for IBM/Simplex in their Clock Division and then for Clarke Floor Machines for several years before retiring. Mr. Stevenson was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, was a diehard Cub’s fan, and was also an avid card player. On January 12, 1952 he married the former Lois R. Poellot in Chicago and she survives him along with a daughter, Debra Stevenson of Grand Haven; 3 sons, Michael Stevenson of Seattle, WA, Eric and Donald Stevenson both of Muskegon; 5 grandchildren, Chris, Traci, Miranda, Michael, and Zac; 3 great-grandchildren, Emily, Caitlin, and Owen; brother, Allan Stevenson of Jacksonville, FL; niece, Linda; 4 nephews, Greg, Ronald, Paul, and Patrick. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Eleanor Stevenson and Carol Charvat. SERVICES will be 1:00 PM Saturday, April 7, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church (3225 Roosevelt Rd.) with Rev. Dennis L. Lassanske officiating. Burial will take place in the Resurrection Garden at the church. VISITATION with the family will be from 6-8 PM Friday, April 6, 2012 at The Walburn Chapel, 1547 W.
