Charles "Chuck" Sugarbaker's Obituary
Charles “Chuck” William Sugarbaker, age 64, passed away in Muskegon, MI, on Wednesday, June 4, 2025. He was born in Muskegon on January 17, 1961, to Roger and Nancy (Bowman) Sugarbaker, and he graduated from Oakridge High School. On January 22, 1999, he married the former Deana Jamerson, and the two of them spent 26 wonderful years together. Chuck enjoyed fishing, bowling, and tinkering in his garage. He loved his country, and he was a die-hard Detroit Lions fan. He could be stubborn at times, but he loved his family more than anything.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Deana Sugarbaker; four children: Nicole Osborne, Lindsey (Alfred) Carillo, Hank (Ashley Pankow) Miel, and Ashley (JaMario Hannett) Miel; 11 grandchildren; six siblings: Kristy Stewart, Terri (Greg) Crane, Jeff (Leslie) Fleckenstein, Sean (Norma) Sugarbaker, Chip (Brandi) Fleckenstein, and Laura Sugarbaker; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roger Sugarbaker and Nancy Fleckenstein; stepparents, Greg Fleckenstein and Terri Sugarbaker; and brother in-law, Jeff Stewart.
A MEMORIAL VISITATION will be held for Chuck from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 737 Apple Ave, Muskegon, MI, 49442. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project or Pound Buddies.
