Charles "Chuck" Osborn's Obituary
Charles “Chuck” Osborn, age 78, of Spring Lake passed away on Friday, December 3, 2010, at the Poppen Hospice Residence. He was born May 20, 1932, in Muskegon to Charles, Sr. and Clarice (Thompson) Osborn. Chuck married the former Edna Arlene Beld on March 6, 1954 in Nunica.
Chuck was employed with Grand Haven Stamp for 30 years as an engineer/inventor, with many patents to his credit. He served his country in the Army during the Korean War. Chuck was an avid ‘Ham’ Radio Operator, “KB8HU”, and enjoyed many years with the North Ottawa Amateur Radio Club (NOARC).
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Edna; 1 daughter, Jacquelyn (Charles) Kelso; 2 sons, Douglas (Carol) Osborn and Robert “Rob” (Mollie) Osborn; 9 grandchildren: Courtney, Lauren, Chas, Christian, Chelsea, Kendra, Kelly, Abbie, and Taylor; a sister, Mary Jane Carlston of Muskegon; and a brother, Phillip (Mary Lou) Osborn of FL. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 1 brother.
