Charles “Chuck” B. Nelson, age 83, of Grand Haven died Sunday, March 11, 2012 at home. He was born July 25, 1928, in Grand Haven to Carl and Kathryn (Martin) Nelson. Chuck married the former Marie Leona Potter on April 28, 1962 in Read Obituary
Marie and family, we will miss our friend Chuck but know he is playing beautiful music in Heaven. Our loss is Heaven's gain. We enjoyed seeing and talking to him around town. I'm sorry for the loss of a loving, careing, giving friend. My first memory of Chuck was when I was about three years old with my first pronto pup on my uncle Ade Kooiman's boat. I head straight to pronto pup's when I return to Grand Haven, Chuck will be missed for his friendship as I grew through the years. Marie, you have the thoughts and prayers of both Nancy and myself. I only spoke with Chuck on several occasions and remember first meeting him when he had one of his cars garaged at mom's house many years ago. He seemed to be a very kind and gentle man and will I'm sure be a great loss to all that knew him. Of course I will always remember him at the Pronto Pup & all the fun times we had in Florida. We were in a restaurant in Fl. & a couple was there from Chg. & they recogniZed him from their summer visits in Gr. Haven & the pronto pup so we talked to them for awhile.
