To Aunt Joyce, Gary & Mary, Cheryl & Mike, Krystal, Daniel and Cody....My heart goes out to all of you. Uncle Charles was a great man and will be missed by all of us, but I take comfort in knowing that he was a part of all of our lives. We all are better people for knowing him. I was proud to be his niece and he will live forever in my heart and thoughts.##imported-begin##Kathy Thomas##imported-end##
Joyce and family-
We were sure saddened to read of the loss of Charles in the Oceana Herald-Journal. We enjoyed getting to know you both when you lived across from our lawn ornament shop, and running into you from time to time after you moved. He was just the most pleasant man! I'm sure his loss is felt by many. Our thoughts are prayers are with you.

To hear of Uncle Charles's passing brought great dismay within me. I am sorry that I could not make it back to Michigan but my prayers are with the whole family to help them through this time.
With Love,

Dear Joyce and family members,
I first come to know Charles
when I was on the Norton Shores
City Council (1970-74). Bob Morin,
your husband, and I had coffee
almost every morning at Russ'.
He was a great person to know.
I learned a lot about police work
from him, and I respected what he
did as a person and for the community.
I was very sorry to see in the paper
of his passing. I am very sorry I
can not come to the visitation tonight.
I am teaching a class at Baker College.
I don't think I will be able to come to his funeral either. However, I
thoughts are with you and your family.

Oh Joyce. What to say. We go back so far in years. Fond memories of our square dance years, Police Work, etc.
I consider Charlie my mentor in Police Work as well as a good friend. He will be missed by all that knew him He was a true gentleman.
Our Prayers are with you and your family.

I have many fond memories of working with Charlie. I can remember when he was first appointed Chief in Roosevelt Park and then to Norton Shores. He was always available to talk with and was always willing to listen. Great sense of humor, fun loving. I will miss him. I pray God's grace upon his family.##imported-begin##Don E.
